Kay Turner

Johnston City- Kay Turner, age 66, of Johnston City, passed away at 7:15am on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.

Born Denise Kay Brown on September 10, 1954 in Carlyle, Illinois, the daughter of Silas and Willa Brown. She married Lonnie Turner in Marion on March 4, 1990. He survives in Johnston City.

Prior to Kay’s retirement, she had worked as a secretary for the Illinois Department of Revenue.

Survivors include her husband- Lonnie Turner of Johnston City

Daughter- Molly and Aaron Hernandez of Herrin

Five Grandchildren- Bradley, Aries, Callie, Alicia, and Camie Hernandez

Aunt Lucy of Harrisburg

She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother- Dennis Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.  Burial will follow at New Spring Grove Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 9-11am on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
