Kathryn E. Baggett

Marion Kathryn E. Baggett, 85 passed away on Friday, February 08, 2008 at 3:50 A.M. at Herrin Hospital. Kathryn was born August 24, 1922 the daughter of Gus & Minnie (Volle) Roberts in Golconda, Illinois. She married Guy Baggett on July 14, 1940 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1996. Kathryn was a homemaker and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Marion. She had worked at P.N. Hirsch and loved to watch Gaither videos. She is survived by; Son Richard Baggett and wife Mary of Marion Daughter Linda Sue Meracle and husband Wayne of Marion Step-Son Russ Baggett and wife Ilma of Indianapolis, IN Three grandchildren; Gina Baggett of Austin, TX Mark Baggett and wife Gloria of Mason, OH Sherry Generis and husband John of Dow, IL Five great grandchildren; Emma Baggett of Austin, TX Sara Betz of Alton Kati Generis of Dow, IL Carlie Baggett of Mason, OH Dean Russell Baggett of Mason, OH Sister Ina Gray of Bartonville Four Nephews Preceded by Parents, Husband - Guy, Son Darwin Baggett, Grandson - Russell Thomas Baggett and Brother Hank Roberts. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 10, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin McNeely officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Gideon Society.
