June Owens

Mrs. June Owens, 90, formerly of Marion, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Rockledge, Florida.
Mrs. Owens was the daughter of the late Iva and Kurby Sniderwin of Marion. She was born June 13, 1926, in Akin, IL. She married Sam Owens on February 9, 1946. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, William Kurby Owens, of Millersville, TN.
She was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Marion. Mrs. Owens was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister.
Mrs. Owens is survived by a son Kurby (Karen) Owens of Hendersonville, TN, a daughter Glenda (John) Martin of Cocoa, FL. and a son Lee Owens of Cardiff, CA. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Nikki (Gerald) Cameron of Key West, FL, Karla Marenka of Hendersonville, TN, and Dana (Ryan) Davis of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada. She also leaves eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister Donna (Kenneth) Sims of Marion and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 11 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Larry Shacklee officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
