Joyce South

Herrin- Joyce South, age 82, of Herrin, passed away at 9:30pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Stonebridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Benton. Joyce was born in Herrin on February 2, 1936, the daughter of James C. and Susie (Stacy) Triplett. She married James South. He preceded her in death. Mrs. South had worked as a CNA, prior to her retirement. Survivors include her son- Dexter and Tammey Waldron of Herrin Daughter- Inez and Bryan Clevenger of Valier Daughter- Mary and Bob Fisher of Rohnert, CA Six Grandchildren Several Great Grandchildren Sister- Lillie Forster of Murphysboro She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter- Connie Graves, granddaughter- Christina Graves, and eleven siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from noon until 1:00pm on Monday at the funeral home.
