Joyce June Stacy

Herrin- Joyce June Stacy, 83, of Herrin, passed away at 7:39 PM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Joyce was born on August 2, 1933 in Herrin to Elsie King. She was a homemaker and cared for her family, but worked many years as a caregiver for Mattingly’s Nursing Home in Energy and the Williamson County Programs on Aging. She was a Christian and a member of the Herrin Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Herrin VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her younger years she was a talented softball player. Recently, she enjoyed going on walks, playing Bingo, working work puzzles and most of all loved spending time with her extended family at the Williamson County Programs on Aging. Survivors include- Sons- Robert Triplett and wife Debbie of Herrin James Triplett and wife Minnie of Herrin Arthur Triplett of Herrin Daughter- Carolyn Triplett of Maryville, IL Seven Grandchildren Twenty Great Grandchildren Five Great Great Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her mother, husband-Delmer "Peck" Stacy, grandchildren- Frank A. Triplett, Amanda Jeralds and Keith Ortiz and one great granddaughter- Ivy Renee Triplett. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00 PM until time of service, Thursday, at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
