Joy R. Potratz

Joy R. Potratz, 73, of Marion formerly of Kankakee, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 8:04 am at Herrin Hospital.

Joy was born September 6, 1947 in Kankakee the daughter of Herbert and Mildred (Merkel) Potratz.

She retired from Howell Developmental Center where she was a Nurse Supervisor.

Joy is survived by her Son – James Mitchell (Colleen) of Kevil, Kentucky, two grandchildren – Johnny Graman (Erin), Melody Manning (Katie), three great grandchildren – Lacey and Owen Graman, Harper Claire Manning, cousin – Debbie Teubner.  She was preceded in death by her Parents.

Graveside services will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11 am at Kankakee Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Tony Gatter  officiating.  Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
