JoAnn Lingle

JoAnn Lingle, 90, of Marion, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at 7 pm at her daughter’s home in Summerville, South Carolina.

JoAnn was born July 11, 1930 in Granite City Illinois, the daughter of Chester and Enid Opal (Troutman) Christy.  She married James C. Lingle on March 10, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas. She is survived by her 4 children, Gale Almaroad, Christine Nowicki, Barbara Ray, Nancy White, brother, Everett "Pete" Christy and her grandchilldren and great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband – James C. Lingle, son – Neil Lingle and sister – Mary Lee Fosse.

She was a homemaker and accomplished quilt maker. Jo Ann was proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. 

Jo Ann requested to be cremated. Memorial graveside services will be held at a later date at Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.
