Jerry W. Nicholson, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:30 am at his residence.
Jerry was born May 20, 1947 in Marion the son of William and Alma (Shadowens) Nicholson.
He was an Army veteran, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He retired as the Manager at Veach Oil Gas Station.
Survivors include his;
Son – Jerry D. (Donna) Nicholson of New Concord, Kentucky
Daughter – Michelle Thomas (Todd) of Benton
Two Grandsons
Brother – Steve Nicholson of Marion
Sister – Laquetta Clark (Terry) of Marion
Half-sister – Angie Tuthill (Richie) of Vergennes
Half-sister – Jill Dodd of Gary, Indiana
Preceded by his Parents, Brother – Eddie Nicholson, two Sisters – Jackie Taylor and Annette Lawson.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 5, 2016 at 3 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by members of the Marion VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and National Guard Flag Detail Unit. Visitation will be Monday from 2 pm till the time of service at the funeral home.
