Jenny McCluckie

Energy- Virginia Lee “Jenny” McCluckie, 84, of Energy, passed away at 4:25 AM, Friday, January 11, 2019 at Herrin Hospital. Jenny was born on January 8, 1935 in Carterville to Carl William and Lillian Pauline (Chew) Bollinger. She married Michael G. McCluckie on June 26, 1982 in Marion. He survives of Energy. She was retired from the Marion Holiday Inn and Marion Red Lobster where she worked as hostess for many years. She was a dedicated member of Lone Oak Baptist Church in Energy. She was a strong willed woman who loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. She enjoyed shopping and going on cruises with her husband. She also enjoyed travelling to visit her son in New Mexico and receiving her sweet maple fudge from Old Town Albuquerque in New Mexico. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her devoted husband, Mike McCluckie of Energy, three sons- Rick Reynolds and wife Cathy of West Frankfort, Victor Reynolds of Marion and Steve Reynolds and wife Susan of Albuquerque, NM and one daughter- Kristy Whitton and husband Eric of Marion, IN. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 25, great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren plus one on the way, 2 sisters- Mary and JoAnn and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandchildren- Eric and Jacob and brother- Bill Bollinger. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Jerry Schell and Pastor David Dyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until time of service, Monday, January 14, 2019 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
