James L. "Jim" Jobe

October 29, 1930 — March 21, 2020

James L. “Jim” Jobe, 89, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:45 pm at his home.

Jim was born October 29, 1930 in Tunnel Hill the son of Isaseen and Glenna (Anderson) Jobe.  He married Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Newton on July 6, 1950 in DeKalb, Illinois and together they shared over 61 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2012.

Jim was a local business owner.

Survivors include his: Granddaughter – Misty Jobe Riddle and her children – Ethan and Hevyn Riddle; Brother – Jackie Lynn Jobe of Pinckney, Michigan, Sister – Ruth Sepell of Nashville, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife – Jacqueline “Jackie” Jobe, Two sons – James Michael “Mike” Jobe and John Daniel “Danny” Jobe; Sisters – Norma Milburn and Patsy Swinda.

Private visitation and funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Wade Underhile officiating.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. 

The family would like to thank all of Jim's caregivers for the excellent care they provided.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.
