James "Jim" Wisek

James “Jim” Wisek, 98, of Oak Lawn, Illinois formerly of Marion, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:55 am at Heartland Healthcare in Paxton.
Jim was born May 14, 1918 in Sesser the son of Peter Paul and Luella Lavada (Wolverton) Wisek. He married Geneva E. Smith on April 4, 1942 in Jackson, Missouri and together they shared 40 years of marriage until her death on March 16, 1982.
He was a member of Marion First Baptist Church. Jim retired from General Motors.
Survivors include his; Three daughters; Judith Cascone and husband John of Antioch, Sandra Reiner and husband Donald of Oak Lawn, Donna Wisek of Loda

Sixteen great grandchildren
Sister – Hilda Smith of Bowling Green, Kentucky
Several nieces and nephews
Preceded in death by his Parents, Wife – Geneva Wisek, Son – Jimmy Wisek, five brothers – Herman, Clarence, Lee, Orville and Paul Wisek.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 12 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 am till time of service at the funeral home.
