Guy Emery

Guy Emery, 89, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 11:50 am at his home in Marion. Guy was born April 7, 1928 the son of Guy and Ethel (Rogers) Emery. He married Betty Jo (Green) Emery and she preceded him in death. He was a veteran, proudly serving in the Army Air Corps. Guy retired from Ford Motor Credit and was also a commercial real estate broker. His memberships included Elks B.P.O.E., and Rotary Club of Cape Girardeau. Survivors include his; Three sons; Steve Emery and wife Carol of Marion Kevin Emery and wife Mary Ann of St. Louis, Missouri Darren Emery and wife Tracy of Manhattan, Kansas Seven grandchildren; Quentin Emery Sean (Kim) Emery Jenny (Jon) Ghani Scott Emery Hannah Emery Megan Emery Grace Emery Three great grandchildren – Brynn, Lake and Elliot Five brothers; Dee (Marci) Emery of Jackson, Tennessee Ron Emery of Marion James (Mary Alice) Emery of Marion Mickey (Christina) Emery of Parrish Greg (Jackie) Emery of Marion Several nieces & nephews Preceded by his Parents, Wife – Betty Jo Emery, two sisters – Madaleine and Deanie and sister-in-law - Janet Emery. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 3 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
