Glenda Horn

Johnston City- Glenda L. Horn, age 72, of Johnston City, passed away at 9:36am on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Herrin Hospital. Glenda was born in Herrin on October 19, 1944, the daughter of Woodrow and Martha (Patrick) Yates. She married Ronald D. Horn in Carterville on April 6, 1963. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2007. Prior to her retirement, Glenda worked as a cook at various restaurants in the area, including Hungry’s, Chuck’s BBQ, and Thornton’s. Survivors include- Son and Daughter-in-law- Tom and Debra Horn of Stiritz Three Grandchildren- Brittany Horn and significant other Alyia Williams of Broomfield, CO Christopher Horn of Stiritz Makayla Horn of Stiritz Eight Siblings She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two siblings. As per her wishes, she will be cremated. The family will hold private memorial services at a later date. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
