Frances Vaughan

Herrin - Frances Vaughan, 97, died at 12:l5 a. m. on Thursday, July 19, 2001 at West Side Care Center in West Frankfort, IL. Mrs. Vaughan was born September 28, 1903 in Williamson County, IL to R. L. and Euel (Freeman) Maxey. She married Roy "Buster" Morris in l920. She then married A. B. Vaughan in l943 In Franklin County, IL. He died in l961. She was a homemaker and attended the Jehovah Witness Church. Survivors include: Granddaughter - Susanne Cooper- Zeigler, IL Granddaughter - Frances Randol - Cana, VA Grandson - Roy Morris - Carterville Grandson - James Morris - Chester Sister - Dorothy Shores, Canton, IL Several great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild Three nieces - Dolores Cornell - Herrin Gerry Gilbert - Farmington, MI Shirley Babcock - Roseville, MI Three nephews Loy Maxey, Jr. - St. Louis Bob Maxey - Benton, AR Richard Maxey - Herrin Her parents, husbands, one son Roy F. Morris, one daughter Alma L. DeArmand, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, l nephew Earl Maxey and one grandson Charles Morris preceded her in death. Graveside interment services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2001 at Freeman Spur Cemetery in Freeman Spur, IL. Rev. Ron Henwood will officiate. Family and friends will gather at the cemetery at 1:15 p.m. Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is in charge of arrangements.
