Everett Gibbons, Jr.

Harrisburg- Everett Gibbons, Jr, 80, of Harrisburg, passed away at 11:22 A<, Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Everett was born on May 10, 1937 in Dorrisville, IL to Everett and Anna (Grousky) Gibbons. He was Baptist. He will be dearly missed by his family. Survivors include- Sister- Sharon Ricketts and husband Mike of Herrin Sister- Ramona Fitzgerald of Price, UT Brother- James Gibbons and wife Margaret of Harrisburg Brother- Jerry Gibbons of Harrisburg Brother- Joe Gibbons and wife Edda of Harrisburg Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers- Bobby and Jack Gibbons and niece- Pamela Horn and nephew- Jimmy Gibbons. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Herrin City Cemetery. Rev. Duane Faulkenberry will officiate. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the graveside. Memorial arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
