Ettna Jane Tarr

March 2, 1934 — April 22, 2021

Ettna Jane Tarr, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at her home in Olney lovingly surrounded by her family.

Ettna was born March 02, 1934 in Tolono, Illinois the daughter of Earl and Helen (Gillick) McDuffee.  She married Robert D. Tarr on August 16, 1951 in Newton and together they shared over 54 years of marriage until his death on October 14, 2005.

Ettna and Robert lived and raised their family in Wabash County, Illinois where they were members of the Bellmont Christian Church.  Following her move to Olney, to be near her daughter, she attended Elmstreet Christian Church.  She was an avid Cardinals fan, and will be remembered by all of her family and friends for the cards she would send celebrating birthdays and other special occasions.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 25, 2021 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with her son, Jeff Tarr officiating.  Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Sunday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
