Elsie Morse

Elsie G. Morse, age 89, of Marion, died Tuesday, October 30th at her daughters home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. She was a longtime member of St. Josephs Parish in Marion. Cremation occurred in Louisville, Kentucky. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, at 1:30 P.M. at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg, with Father Richard Mohr officiating. Local arrangements are by Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be sent to Hospice of Louisville at 3532 Ephraim McDowell Drive, Louisville, Kentucky, 40205. She was the former Elsie Gelb, born in Lemburg, Austria-Hungary. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Luray Morse of Marion and her parents, Leo and Maria Gelb of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers, Mary Barabasz, Adela Hendrick, Helen Perschy, and Lewis Gelb, all of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Adolf Gelb of Clewiston, Florida and Leo Gelb of Lakeland, Florida. She is survived by her daughter, Claudette Raymer of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and two granddaughters, Samantha Raymer of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Sabrina Raymer of Shepherdsville, Kentucky.
