Elsie Mae Rodney

Herrin- Elsie Mae Rodney, 92, of Herrin, passed away at 11:41 AM, on Monday, June 12, 2017 at the The Anchor of River to River Community of Marion. Elsie Mae was born on November 3, 1924 in Buckeye Lake, OH to Orville and Mary Alice (Englehart) Huber. She married Robert Rodney on April 2, 1946 in Marion. He preceded her in death on May 13, 1996. She began a long career with Allen Industries in 1962. She retired as a line feeder. Survivors include- Son- Don Rodney and wife Darlyn of Marion Son- Edward Rodney and wife Joan of Edwardsville Daughter- Linda Archa and husband Chad of Tyler, TX Grandchildren- Ryan Rodney Kelli Parino & husband Chuck Amanda Touchette & husband George Brandon Rodney Zachary Garcia Great Grandchildren Kayla Niblet & husband Matt Hunter Rodney Skylar, Hunter, & Kylie Touchette Bowden, Rock, & James Parino She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother- Glen Huber and sister- Goldie Appleman. A private graveside funeral service will be held  June 16, 2017 at Herrin City Cemetery. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral home in Herrin.
