Herrin- Elizabeth Stewart Graham, 89, of Herrin, went to meet her Lord, husband, and loving grandson, John at 1:55 PM, Sunday, September 16, 2001 at Park Avenue Health Care Home in Herrin. Elizabeth was born on January 7, 1912 in Carliff, Alabama to William & Jeane (Drury) Woodford. She married Havis "Buster" Graham on May 16, 1931 in Cambria, IL. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1994. Mrs. Graham retired from Allen Industries of Herrin where she worked for many years. She was a member and taught Sunday school at First United Methodist Church in Herrin. She was a member of the Herrin Senior Citizens Center and in her spare time enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and making homemade "Kroger" buns for her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Goeb- Herrin Son & dtr in law- William David & Margie Graham- Las Cruces, NM Son & dtr in law- Robert Jerry & Kay Graham- West Frankfort, IL Eleven Grandchildren: Havis Bryan Graham- Las Cruces, NM Lance Graham- Cloudcroft, NM Kellie & Kip Crowther- Tempe, AZ Michael Graham- Denver, CO Tina & Larry Gallindo- Carlsbad, NM Melissa Graham- Las Cruces, NM Terry Graham- Tamaroa, IL Patricia Howerton- Marion Angie Marks- Marion Kimberly Graham- West Frankfort Michael Todd & Theresa Goeb- Travis AFB, CA Fifteen Great Grandchildren One Great Great Grandchild Special niece- Sandy Followell Several Nieces & Nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; William Drury Woodford, two sisters; Gladys Hopper & Stella Marlow, and one grandson; John Goeb. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, September 18, 2001 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Lee Lovett will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Herrin First United Methodist Youth Group and will be accepted at the funeral home.
