Dola Jean Mausey

Dola J. Mausey, age 90, of Creal Springs went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Integrity Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Marion.

Dola was born in Creal Springs, Illinois, on October 26, 1932, the daughter of Furnan J. and Ethel Aline (Beasley) Doss. She married Robert C. "Bobby" Mausey, Jr. on July 29, 1949 and together they were blessed with over 66 years of marriage.

A lifelong member of the Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church, Dola gave her heart to the Lord at the age of 12. She taught both children and adult Sunday School classes and worked in Junior Church. Dola was a charter member of the Women's Auxiliary and had served as a past Secretary and President. She was active in singing in the church choir, singing with the Faith Singers, and even serving many years as the church assistant pianist. Dola cherished time with her family. She and Bobby loved to fish and camp at Rend Lake with family members. She will be long remembered for her wonderful home made donuts. Dola will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by three children: Terry Mausey and wife Sandra of McMinnville, Tennessee, Marsha Agin and husband Jim of Raleigh, Marilyn Warner and husband Jim of Creal Springs, Nine grandchildren; Charles Mausey (Angie), Jason Agin (April), Amanda Brown (Adam), Justin Warner, Clint Warner, Nick Warner (Erika), Crystal (Shawn) Ellis, Dustin Mausey, Travis Mausey, Fourteen great grandchildren- Isabella Hattaway, Jeremiah Warner, Alivia Warner, Samuel Warner, Jonny Warner, Jayda Smith, James and Wesley Smith, Liam Mausey, Lilianna Mausey, Skye Mausey, Rory Agin, Lawson Agin, Ella Kate Brown, and two on the way, Two Great Great Grandchildren- Silvia and Grayson Hattaway. Brother- Wayne Doss and wife Hazel of Creal Springs, Brother- Furnan Doss, Jr. and wife Colene of Marion, Sister- Karen Jones and husband Larry of Marion, Sister- Janet Orr and husband Kenny of Creal Springs, Sister-in-law - Geraldine Doss of Marion, Brother-in-law - C.W. Mausey of Creal Springs, Sister-in-law- Melba Mausey of Creal Springs, Several nieces and nephews.

Preceded by her parents, her husband, and brother- John Doss.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Ivan Ryan and Rev. Adam Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 5 - 8 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion and from 11 am until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
