Denis Lee Rautenstrauch

Denis Lee Rautenstrauch, age 68, of Creal Springs, Illinois, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Denis was born March 21, 1954 in East St. Louis, Illinois, a son of Arvett and Rosemary Magdelan (Touchette) Rautenstrauch. A jack of all trades, Denis could fix anything. Busier in retirement than while working, he did everything from working on cars, working as a DJ and limo driver, he could do it all. He was always working on something for someone.

He is survived by two sons, Neil Rautenstrauch and Casey (Anna) Rautenstrauch; two sisters, Lisa Bonebrake and Barbra Dameron; his Grandchildren, Alexandria, Nolan and Gracelynn Rautenstrauch; his ex-wife Cheri Rautenstrauch; and best friend Jon McAnelly. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Brooke Rautenstrauch; his parents, Arvett Emil "Bud" and Rosemary Magdelan (Touchette) Rautenstrauch; one sister, Sue Ann Moody; and his nephew, Dean Dameron.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8th, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, 11:00 AM at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Stephen Sipe officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery in Creal Springs.
