Delbert Gregge

Delbert E. Gregge, age 68, of Herrin, Illinois,  passed away Monday, January 9, 2023 at Integrity Healthcare in Herrin, Illinois.

Delbert was born January 19, 1954 in Herrin, Illinois, a son of Delbert T. and Martha A. (Ridgeway) Gregge.  Delbert grew up in Herrin, IL and attended Herrin School.  Right out of school Delbert started working at Norge and later at Allen Industries.  After the plant closed he worked with his brother for Wilbert Vault Co.  He married the love of his life, Debbie K. Dotson on August 04, 1978 in Marion, IL.  Delbert enjoyed fishing, golfing, watching sports and racing. 

He is survived by his wife Debbie K. Gregge of Herrin, IL; two sons, Douglas E. (Carrie Ann) Gregge of Harrisburg, IL and Kyle W. Gregge of Herrin, IL; three grandchildren, Dakota R. (Sierra) Gregge, Payton A. Gregge, and KayLee M. Gregge; and seven siblings, Terry Triplett of Herrin, IL, Connie Friend of West Frankfort, IL, Scott (Laura) Gregge of Whiteash, IL, Mary Bailey of Energy, IL, Mike Gregge of Herrin, IL, Matt (Cassie) Gregge of Herrin, IL, and Mark Gregge of Whiteash, IL.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert T. and Martha A. Gregge.

Visitation will be Friday, January 13th, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, 11:00 AM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Owens officiating.  Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin.
