Herrin- David W. Morrow, 54, of Herrin, formerly of Jackson, TN, passed away at 2:00 AM, Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.David was born on April 27, 1963 in St. Louis, MO to Walter and Rosemary (Votruba) Morrow. He married Heather Treece on August 30, 1997 at the First Christian Church in Jackson, TN. David recently worked in the graphic design and marketing department at Walker’s Bluff. Prior to that he worked as a jeweler at Service Merchandise and owned and operated Morrow Jeweler’s in Jackson, TN. He also designed and maintained the website for Unity Christian School in Energy. He was an active member of Southern Illinois Worship Center in Herrin. He played keyboards on the worship team and recently completed the graphic design of the kid’s ministry. In his spare time he enjoyed planning family road trips, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, playing golf and tending to his tower garden. David had a strong faith in God. He had a quiet strength with a pure heart and was quick to share his faith with others and help those in need. Survivors include- Wife- Heather Morrow of Herrin Daughter- Megan Zarle and husband Jacob of Carterville Son- Mekenzie D. Morrow of Herrin Daughter- Maitlynn Morrow of Herrin Mother- Rosemary Morrow of Jacksonville, FL Brother- Larry Morrow of Dallas, TX Brother- Kevin Morrow and wife Brenda of Jacksonville, FL Sister- Geralyn Swindle of St. Louis, MO Father in law and mother in law- Rev. Val and Sherry Treece of Cape Girardeau, MO Sister in law- Haley Smith and husband Jereme of Jackson, TN Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father- Walter Morrow, brother- Wally Morrow, brother in law- Joe Swindle and niece- April Kruger. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Southern Illinois Worship Center in Herrin. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM and extend until time of service, Saturday at Southern Illinois Worship Center. Memorial arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
