David Burns

Lake of Egypt- David L. Burns, 78, of Lake of Egypt, formerly of Calumet City, IL, passed away at 2:54 AM, Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. David was born on November 4, 1939 in Terra Haute, IN to Harold and Juanita (Gammie) Burns. He married Janet A. Brozynski on April 26, 1975 in South Holland, IL. They shared almost 43 years together. He was retired from Ford Motor Company where he worked for 30 years as an assemblyman until his retirement in 2000. David was protestant and a member of the United Auto Workers of America. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and loved to spend time outdoors fishing or cruising the lake on his pontoon. Survivors include- Wife- Janet Burns of Lake of Egypt Son- Kenneth Burns and wife Renata of Beecher, IL Son- Martin Burns and wife Gina of St. John, IN Two Grandchildren Brother- Eddie Burns and wife Charlotte of Valparaiso, IN Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
