Dale Elsie Beasley

Dale E. Beasley, age 82, of Marion, Illinois passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at her home in Marion, Illinois.

Dale was born October 21, 1939 in Hindsdale, Illinois, a daughter of Robert and Rose (Reedy)  Graham. She married Awbery G. Beasley on June 27, 1959 in Wilmington, IL.  He died March 2, 2018.  Dale was a graduate of Downers Grove North High School.  After marriage, she was a stay at home house wife and raised her children.  She and her husband moved to Marion in 1977, after he retired.  She enjoyed going to the beauty shop and visiting with her friends.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She was very Spiritual and was very active at her church, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.     

She is survived by two children, Tammy L. Castellano of Marion, IL and Gene D. (Kristy) Beasley of Fredricksburg, VA; three grandchildren, Dane A. (Taylor) Castellano, Aston Gage Beasley, and Axel G. Beasley; two great grandchildren, Hadley Castellano and Nolan Castellano; and three siblings, Robert (Betty) Graham of Bonita Springs, FL, Claudia Heneghan of Plano, IL, and Linda Hertog of Lehigh Acres, FL.  She is preceded in death by her spouse Awbery G. Beasley; her parents, Robert and Rose Graham; two Sisters, and two Brothers.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marion, IL.  Funeral Service will be follow at 1:00 PM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with Rev. Kim Lee-Brown officiating. Those attending the visitation and funeral service will be required to wear a mask.  Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.  

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Shriner's Hospital. Envelopes will be available the day of the service at the church or by mail to Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.

I met Dale last year over Father's Day week at her son's home in Fredericksburg, Va. She was a very gracious and attractive lady.... I know she will be missed greatly.

Gene, so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I always enjoyed working with her at Wal-Mart or talking with her at ballgames. You couldn't ask for a nicer, more upbeat person than her. I know she will be greatly missed.

We are so sorry for the loss of your mother,Tammy. I worked at the Marion Walmart with your mom for several years. We shared many breaks and lunches in the break room together. I thought very highly of her. Sweet lady!

I met Dale and Gene when they had moved to Marion. She's always been a special Lady to me. So kind, loving and A Sweetheart. I'm so sorry for your loss Tammy and "Little Gene" as she always called him!

The world has lost one of the Angels on earth ! I'm sooo sorry for your and our loss! I will always remember meeting her at the hospital where we worked together. She was a very special lady, and will be greatly missed. The world was a better place with her in it❤️‼️
