Connie Henshaw

Connie Henshaw, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Heartland Regional Medical Center surrounded by family. She was 71 years old. Connie was born in Estherville, Iowa on November 15, 1946. The daughter of Vivian and Arnold Fetters. She graduated in 1964 from Marion High School. Connie married Everett Henshaw Jr. on July 29, 1983. He preceded her in death on July 6, 2017. Connie was a member of Sigma Beta Phi sorority for many years. She was a Christian and put her faith in our Lord.  Connie enjoyed holidays and spending time with her family and friends. Decorating for the holidays was her forte and her delicious dishes were always a must-have at family get-togethers. Connie worked for Williamson County Education Services for 17 years until her retirement this year. Her school children held a special place in her heart. Connie will be missed dearly and she is survived by her Children; Kip Mandrell and wife Eva Nikki Meracle Sue Frey-Strothmann and husband Gary Joyce Cato Grandchildren; Alexa Maxwell Zachary Maxwell Jessica Mandrell Errol Mandrell Chelsey Meracle Blake Meracle Bryce Meracle Alexandria Frey Daniel Frey Nicki Holmes and husband Toby Stacy Cato Great-Grandchildren; Walter Nieds IV River and Brooks Holmes Tobias Phinney Sisters; Sandy Tobin and husband Ron and Arna White Brother; Kevin Fetters and wife Leigh Ann Sister-in-law; Mary Sue Childers Brother-in-law; Dean Rose Connie also leaves wonderful memories with several nieces, nephews and friends. Connie was preceded by her husband, parents,  Brother-in-law Raymond White, Sister-in-law Priscilla Presley, Sister-in-law Betty Rose, Brother-in-laws Don Presley, Jess Childers and Grandson Jacob Vaughn Cato. Graveside service will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:30 pm with Minister Carolyn Sanders officiating. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Heart Association in memory of Connie.
