I'm really sorry to hear of the passing of Charlie. When I was a senior at COHS Charlie was an 8th grader. He always came over to our HS practices after his. Many times he practiced with us, as Coach Hoffard worked him in. Charlie was always reserved & respectful of everyone. He truly loved basketball & became a good player.
Charlie was an interesting guy, as he had a variety of interests. I'm not sure what they all were, but his biggest interest was his family, followed by basketball. We have lost a really good person.

I am so sorry to hear about Charles. When he moved to crab orchard we found out our birthdays were the same day, but he was 12 hours older than me so a called him old man. We played basket ball and baseball together in high school and went to the same church. We had many good times together.

I spent many hours with Charles at basketball games and practice. He was a friend, a gifted athlete and an unselfish player who valued the assist as much as scoring himself. I feel fortunate to have reconnected with him in recent years. My deepest sympathy is extended to Marilyn and the entire family

Charlie was always kind and encouraging to me. I loved his quirky ways. He was marked by his love for his daughter and her family and was always ready to serve.
