Charles Louis Dismore

Charles Louis Dismore, 70, of Marion, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 1:17 am at Herrin Hospital after a long illness.

Charles was born December 10, 1949 in Fort Knox, Kentucky the son of James C. and Fay (Black) Dismore.

Because Charles was born while his father was in the military, they lived in several places including Germany.  Returning to the states they settled in Cairo, Illinois where he attended grade school.  They then moved to Murray, Kentucky where he attended high school.  In the late 60’s he moved with his parents to Mt. Vernon where he meet and married his ex-wife, and mother of his only child (Deloris Ellis).  After a disabling auto accident in the early 80’s he, his wife and daughter moved to Marion where they raised their daughter.  He continued to live in Marion until 5 years ago when he entered a nursing home.

He is survived by:

Daughter – Shelly Dismore and Fiance’ Charles Goodman of Paducah, Kentucky

Grandsons;

Dakota Crites of Paducah, Kentucky

Austin Crites (Erica) of Belle Rive

Granddaughters;

Kylee Blades (Brodie) of Marion

Marina Bozarth of Paducah, Kentucky

Alexis Dismore of Paducah, Kentucky

Great grandsons – Beckam Crites and Caiden Stewart

Great granddaughters – Bella Crites, Kenslee Blades and Sophia Jones

Brothers;

Bobby Dismore of Plant City, Florida

Mike Dismore of St. Pete, Florida

Matthew Dismore, of Mt. Vernon

Sister – Susan Dismore of Mt. Vernon

Sister-in-law – Carol Dismore of Paducah, Kentucky

Brother-in-law – Ray Higgins of Paducah, Kentucky

Preceded by his parents, brother – J.D. Dismore and sister – Valerie Higgins

In accordance with Charles’ wishes he will be cremated and no  services will be held.  Out of state burial will be at a later date.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
