Catherine D. Sanson

Catherine D. Sanson, 89, of Marion passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at 4:20 am at Helia Healthcare of Energy. Catherine was born December 28, 1929 in Elkville the daughter of William D. and Nellie (Poulson) Bourland. She married William Sanson on July 30, 1947 in Chicago and together they shared over 51 years of marriage until his death on January 17, 1999. She attended Spillertown Baptist Church. Catherine retired from Shelter Care Center (Friendship). Survivors include her: Son – Jim and Karen Sanson of Marion Five grandchildren; Rob Ashby of Spillertown Mark Ashby of Tennessee Aime and Craig Chelin of Marion Shawn Sanson of Marion Shane Sanson of Marion Four great grandchildren; Amber Couty of Marion Collin and Carsen Chelin of Marion Jaxin Sanson of Marion Preceded by her Parents, husband – William Sanson, daughter – Brenda Ferguson and granddaughter – Kim Craig. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.  Visitation will Saturday from 1 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
