Betty Lou Erwin Stroud (Ouellet)

Betty Lou Erwin Stroud (Ouellet), age 95, of Ocala, Florida passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Avanti’ Nursing facility in Ocala.

Betty was born on October 1, 1924 in Marion, Illinois to Frank and Mamie Erwin. She later married Oren C. Stroud. They were happily married for many years. She loved her job of many years as an Equestrian.

Betty and Oren had one child, a son Johnny Michael “Mike” (Delores) Stroud of Belleview, FL; two grandsons, Troy (Susan) Stroud of Leesburg, FL,  and Scott (Shae) Stroud of Millstadt, IL; she was blessed with great grandchildren, Mindy (Joe) Bauman of Mascoutah, IL, Morgan (Ryan) Halstead of Lady Lake, FL, Tyler Stroud of Mt. Dora, FL, Robyn (Carlos) Toledo of Leesburg, FL, P.J. (Jamie) Leavitte of Mt. Dora, FL; nine great great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oren C. Stroud; two brothers and one sister.

She will truly be missed by all of her family and many friends. We will meet her later at the Big House!

Funeral services will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, Marion on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Charles Idleman officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.

Visitation will be held at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home on Friday, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
