Colp- Betty June Kerley, age 93, of Colp, passed away at 12:10am on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Helia Healthcare in Energy.
Betty was born in Colp on July 5, 1923, the daughter of Oscar and Lena (Jacobs) Hogg. She married Elmer C. Kerley in Jackson, Missouri on June 28, 1940. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1990.
Mrs. Kerley was a member of the Hope Chapel United Methodist Church in Colp.

Grandson- Kirk (Leslie) Null of LaGrange, GA
Grandson- Keith (Amy) Null of O’Fallon, IL

Madison Null of O’Fallon
Great Great Granddaughter- Callie Null of Bloomington
Sister-in-law- Mary Hogg of Carterville
Brother-in-law- R.D. (Jean) Vancil of Carterville
several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and great great nieces and great great nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother- Charles Lee Hogg, Sr., sister- Evelyn (Dalton) Brown, sister- Alice Vancil, mother-in-law and father-in-law- Ottie and Maude Kerley, and her sister-in-law- Emma (Everett) Taake.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Jim Heaney officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until noon on Saturday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
