Betty J. Doughty

Betty J. Doughty, 95, of Champaign, formerly of Marion, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at 5:51 pm at Helia Nursing Home. Betty was born September 21, 1922 in Galatia the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Harris) Webber. She married Raymond L. Doughty on September 17, 1946 in Henderson, Kentucky and together they shared over 51 years of marriage until his death on April 1, 1998. She retired from Kaeser Lumber Company and attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion. Survivors include her; Son – Larry R. Doughty of Champaign Grandson – Kyle Doughty and his wife Heather Doughty of Champaign Preceeded in death by her Parents and Brother – Roy Warren Webber Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 12 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Donelson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday  from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Marion Lions Club. Everyone is encouraged to bring any eyeglasses that they would like to donate to the Lions Club to the service.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.
