Anna Jane Sanders, age 74 of Marion, Illinois,  passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 12:25 pm at Herrin Hospital.
 
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, 10:00 AM at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.. Visitation will be Monday evening November 22, 2021, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Tuesday from 9 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
 
Anna Jane was born Thursday, February 20, 1947, the daughter of Milo H. and Mary A. (Stephens) Parks. She married the love of her life, James Lee Sanders Sr. at Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church on May 02, 1969 .

She is survived by her Husband, James Lee Sanders Sr, Daughter, Sheri A. & Rev. Jason Jean of Marion, Son, James L. & Holly Sanders of Mt. Vernon, Grandchildren; Sarah Jean, Joshua Jean, Johnathan Mackey, Maycee Jane Sanders, Brother, Stephen & Bev Parks, Several Nieces & Nephews. She is preceded in death by parents and brother-in-laws - Anthony Velasco and Clifford Libby.

Anna Jane was  born in Carbondale, was raised in Crab Orchard and graduated from Crab Orchard High School in 1966. She was a Personal Banker for the Bank of Marion for over 30 years. She loved her Lord and was a very active member of the Arnold View Free Will Baptist Church, serving in vacation bible school, the Women's Auxilliary, as a Sunday School teacher and with the Junior Church.

Family was very important to Anna Jane, especially spoiling her grandchildren. She also enjoyed painting and floral arranging.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for Children. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
