Alice M. Adamson

Alice M. Adamson, age 66, of Marion, died Thursday, June 14th at 8:00 A.M. at her home. Visitation for Mrs. Adamson was from 5-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 17th with services on Monday, June 18th at 10:30 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, with Rev. Roger Odum officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Alice was born June 9, 1935, in Normal, Illinois to James Worley and Flora Sunshine (Cox) Wilson. Her father preceded her in death. Alice married Carroll Allen Adamson on July 3, 1971 in Carpentersville, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1996. Mrs. Adamson was retired from Western Sizzlin. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Survivors include her mother of Willow Brook, three sons and two daughters-in-law, William Holsinger of San Diego, California, Andrew & Doris Holsinger of Goreville, and David C. & Kendra Adamson of Nashville, Tennessee; one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth & Albert Norris of Marion; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one brother, Ralph Wilson. She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Adamson.
