Adam J. Glodjo

Adam James Glodjo passed away at his home in Marion and went to be with his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
He was born December 24, 1988 to James “Pete” and Donna (Powell) Glodjo. He graduated from Marion High School in 2007 and attended John A Logan College. He was employed as an insurance agent for Old American Insurance Company. Much of his time in recent months was devoted to lovingly caring for his parents as they journeyed through difficult health issues. Adam loved music, golf, nature, history, road trips, and most of all, his family. His loving heart and fun-filled spirit will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by four sisters; Kimberly (Jerry) Ross of Marion, Tammie (Todd) Oldeen of Commerce, Georgia; Sherrie (Danny) Cash of Marion; and Angela (Eddie) Davis of Las Vegas, Nevada; four aunts, June Anderson of Marion, Judy Powell of Creal Springs, Jewell Farrow of Columbia, Missouri, and Dotty Ward of East Prairie, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Elbert and Daisy Glodjo; maternal grandparents Floyd and Marjorie Powell; two uncles, Lyman Powell and Bob Glodjo; one aunt, Sue Chutsch; and a nephew, Travis Cash.
Funeral services will be Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Ford and Rev. Danny Cash officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
