Carterville- George Larry Havens, age 85, of Carterville, passed away at Carbondale Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

George was born in Bush on October 30, 1935, the son of Lawrence and Rose (Greathouse) Havens. He married Jo Nell Webb in Hurst on February 15, 1992. She survives in Carterville.

Mr. Havens was a member of the Nazarene Church of Royalton. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a real estate broker and appraiser.

Son- Rob and Bradi Havens of Murphysboro

Son- Jeff and Sandy Loring of Carterville

Daughter- Tami Loring-Barnes of Chesterfield, MO

Grandchildren- Dustin and Kim Loring

     Logan Barnes

     Nicholas Merritt

     Hunter Havens

     Kennedy Barnes

     Hayli Havens

     Landon Barnes

Great Grandchildren- Logan Fravel and Khloe Loring

Sister- Lynn and George Giltner of Metropolis

He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter- Debbie Havens.

Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Blairsville Cemetery with Pastor Dan Taylor officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is assisting the family with final arrangements.
