Ronald Ward Scott, 71, of Marion, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 10:15 pm at the VA Medical Center in Marion.

Ronald was born December 31, 1948 in Carbondale the son of Rudy A. Scott II and Anna Juanita (Ward) Scott.  Rudy passed away when Ronald was very young and Juanita remarried Howard “Bud” Murrow. 

He owned and operated Scott’s Upholstery. Ronald proudly served his country from 1967 – 1971 in the Air Force

Survivors include his;

Father – Howard “Bud” Murrow of Marion

Sister – Renee (Murrow) VanPelt (Kevin) of Mesa, Arizona

Brother – John Murrow (Teri) of Marion

Several nieces and nephews

Preceded by his birth father, mother, brother – Rudy A. Scott III

Graveside services will be Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 12 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Dave Maragni officiating.  Family and friends are ask to meet directly at the cemetery.  Military rites will be presented by members of the Marion VFW Post #1301, American Legion Post #147 and the Air Force Flag Detail Unit.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with arrangements.

For those who prefer memorials may be made to The Promise.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at the cemetery on the day of the service or at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, IL  62959.
