I have many fond memories spending lots of time with Mike. Mike taught me how to ski and we went on a couple cross country trips together. Such a good friend during my youth. I regret not seeing him for so long. My heart hurts for his family. Prayers for peace and comfort for Jan, Don Jr. and Dave as well as his children and all who loved him. I know I’ll see you in heaven my brother.

I had a special connection with Michael, he was my husband’s best friend.

I met Mike in the early 90’s while dating Rob. They were hilarious together, and always had everyone around them laughing. I remember watching them get ready to go out, Rob would be gelling his hair while Mike was blow drying his.
During this time his daughter Valorie (Niki), would visit South Florida for summers to visit her dad, us, and our dog Otis. Then in later years our first son, Ryan.

Their bond was so strong. They drove to Macon, GA and purchased two dump trucks. Just two guys starting a debris removal company after hurricane Andrew. They were so proud of themselves; they had business cards and framed the first dollar they made.

In the years following, Mike purchased a home on the water. I have so many fond memories of that place. Jean, Valorie, and Kalei would come out on the boat with us and we’d have a blast.

They were best friends. Michael had spoken at our wedding and later Rob, at his in Hawaii. We kept in touch throughout the years, until Robs passing. I know in my heart, two best friends are in heaven, cracking jokes.
