Marion-Harold R. Eastman, age 87, of Marion, passed away at 1:27am on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Anna.

Harold was born in Johnson County on October 4, 1932, the son of Harold and Alona (Ray) Eastman. He married Betty Jo Culbertson in Missouri on June 15, 1957. He had retired from the GTE Telephone Company.

Survivors include his wife- Betty Jo Eastman of Marion

Daughter- Sherry Couch of Marion

Son- Richard Vance Eastman of Marion

Granddaughter- Monica and Shawn Bolley of Marion

Two Great Grandchildren- Mya and Dax Bolley of Marion

Brother- Barry and Donna Eastman of Goreville

Several Nieces and Nephews

He was precede in death by his parents, brother-John Eastman and sister- Joan Ragain.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Cana Cemetery in Goreville with Rev. Steve Utley officiating. Family and friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery.  Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion is assisting the family with final arrangements.

For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home; 800 N. Market Street; Marion, IL 62959.
