Herrin- Delores Jane Ramsey, age 79, of Herrin, passed away at 7:09am on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at HerrinHospital.

Delores was born in Herrin on October 12, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Copher) Swinford. She married Marion Ramsey in Piggott, Arkansas on November 1, 1952. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2011.

Delores was a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading James Patterson novels.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister- Mae Sparks, and four brothers- Harvey, Paul, Leonard, and Lester Colp.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at HerrinCityCemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Saturday at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
