Cynthia Ann Burgess, 69, of Marion passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 6:10 am at her home.

Cindy was born October 15, 1944 in Chicago the daughter of Herbert and Elsie Meilahn. She married James Burgess on April 24, 1971 in Forrest Park and together they have shared over 43 years of marriage.

She enjoyed knitting, doing cross-stich and watching television.

Survivors include her;
Husband – Jim Burgess of Marion
Son – Brian Burgess and wife Cassie of Marion
Son – Kevin Burgess of Marion
Two grandchildren – Bryson and Allison Burgess
Several cousins

Preceded by her Parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 16, 2014 at 12 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Rivett officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
