Thomas V. “Junie” Noonan, Jr.

Herrin- Thomas V. “Junie” Noonan, Jr., age 83, of Herrin, passed away at 9:20am on Sunday, September 15, 2013 at his home in Herrin.

Thomas was born in Chicago on April 30, 1930, the son of Opal T. (Smith) Noonan and Thomas V. Noonan, Sr. He was retired from maintenance at the Franklin-Williamson County Workshop.

Survivors include his brother- Gerrard “Gerry” Noonan of Herrin

Nephew- John T. Bogart of Feasterville, PA

Nephew- Dale Bogart of Lilburn, GA

Four other nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister- Norma Bogart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Burial will follow at HerrinCityCemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00am-1:00pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.

    All of the Bayles brothers and sisters used to play with Tom and Jerry at the Herrin Swimming Pool and would run into them at WalMart or the store or at different events. Tom always knew who we were and would always speak to us. He will be miss.
