Ada F. Mitchell

Herrin- Ada Florence Mitchell, 95, of Herrin, died at 7:13 PM, Sunday, January 27, 2002 at Herrin Hospital.

Ada was born on May 24, 1906 in Olney, IL to George Herman & Viora Gray. She married Mike Mitchell in Paducah, KY. He preceded her in death in 1967.

Mrs. Mitchell was a homemaker and a member of Herrin First Christian Church. When she was able, she enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother; Willard Gray, one sister; Chloe Opal Cooper, and one niece; Joyce Reynolds.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 31, 2002 at Johnson Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Michael Tetmeyer will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
