Mable Ruth Wilson
Marion � Mable Ruth Wilson, 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 10:15 A.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Mable was born November 25, 1916 to Charles �Ben� and Della Mae (Murphy) Merrell in Williamson County, Illinois. She married Garrett Leonard �Perk� Wilson on April 28, 1945 in Marion and together they shared over 44 years of marriage until his death on June 19, 1989.
Mable was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Norge.
Survivors include:
Son � Robert Wayne Travelstead and his wife Wanda of Goreville
Eleven Grandchildren
Nine Great Grandchildren
Six Great Great Grandchildren
Preceded by � Parents, Husband, Son � Carl D. Travelstead, One Granddaughter � Tina Marie Travelstead, Five Brothers and Three Sisters.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 16, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. John Howat officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. Rev. Don Travelstead will assist at the graveside. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 � 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Bethel Cemetery Fund. Envelopes will be available at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
