Arvel N. West
Pittsburg- Arvel N. West, 76, passed away at 2:40 PM, Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Arvel was born on August 22, 1929 in Williamson County to Eva Mae (West) Burlison. He married Pauline (O�Neal) West on February 23, 1956 in Shawneetown and together have enjoyed over 49 years of marriage. She survives of Pittsburg.
Arvel was retired from Sahara Coal Company. He was a mechanic and a member of Progressive Mine Workers of America.

He was preceded in death by his mother, two sons; Robert Arvel West & Jimmy Wayne West, and step father; Charlie Burlison.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Jason Jean will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Poordo Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9:00 PM, Tuesday, January 3, 2006 at the funeral home.
For those who prefer, memorial donations may be given to Mt. Pleasant Poordo Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
