I am a dialysis patient, but also a retired RN. Vicki was very special to all the patients willing to find answers for their problems, especially the ones with special needs. Though she worked with very ill patients, she was always cheerful and upbeat. We could see how much she thought of Mark and Colette, and the pride she had for Colette for going to nursing school. I know our pain is not as deep as yours, but we will very much miss her.

I wish to express my condolances to Vickie's family and say how sorry I am to hear of her death. I knew her from the dialysis center where she took care of a friend of mine for many years.She was an excellent nurse who was always very firm with her patients but only because she really cared about each one of them. Due to her skill as a nurse and compassion as a person she has touched the loves of more people than you will ever know. She was a great human being and will be sadly missed by all.Vickie was a shining star in the often times dim lives of the dialysis patients she cared for.
