Minnie Jane Lamphere, 90, of Creal Springs moved peacefully to her mansion in Heaven on May 18, 2017 at 11:10 am at Integrity Health Care with her family by her side.
Minnie was born April 20, 1927 in Johnson County the oldest child of Ray and Afton (Craig) Hart. She married Charles L. Lamphere on June 7, 1943 and together they shared over 50 years of marriage. To this union were born three children, Minnie Charlene (Butch) Parks, Helen Irene (Gary) Reimann and Charles Deon (Carolyn) Lamphere. Also, surviving are five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband – Charles L. Lamphere, Son-in-law – Butch Parks and several brothers and sisters.
Minnie was a lifelong member of the Church of God where she taught Sunday School and was leader of women’s ministries. She worked as a seamstress at Smoler Brothers before owning Janes Café in Creal Springs and also owned Peddlers Corner. She was an excellent homemaker and avid flea marketer.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow County Line Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
