Earlene Turner

Earlene Turner, 89, of Pittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 02, 2015 at 4:30 am at her home.  Earlene was born November 6, 1926 in Pittsburg the daughter of Frank and Anna (Stroud) Dudley.  She married Lewis Hendrickson on October 30, 1947 and he preceded her in death on August 27, 1958.  On August 24, 1962 she married Norman “Ray” Turner in Marion and together they have shared over 53 years of marriage.  She was a homemaker and she also worked at the Ramada Inn in housekeeping.  Earlene attended the Pittsburg United Methodist Church.  Survivors include her; Husband - Ray Turner of Pittsburg Son - Dan Hendrickson and wife Regina of Marion Daughter - Judy Deaton and husband Laney of Marion Daughter - Pam Stapleton of Marion Daughter - Kim Lee and husband Mike of Pittsburg   Nine Grandchildren;     Cori Ashmore (Monte) of Pittsburg     Kelli Geer (Shannon) of West Frankfort     Cody Deaton (Christina) of Marion     Casey Dunning (Matt) of Carterville     Todd Stapleton of Brownstown     Heath Stapleton of Marion     Jama Stapleton of Dongola     Ethan Lee of Pittsburg     Aaron Lee of Pittsburg Seven Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews  Preceded by her Parents, First husband - Lewis Hendrickson, Son-in-law - Jerry Stapleton, Two brothers - Harold and Joel Dudley and Sister-in-law - Alma Dudley.  Funeral services will be Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Blumenstock officiating.  Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.  For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.  Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois  62959.
