Clifford E. "Cliff" Moeller

August 22, 1949 — January 29, 2017

Clifford E. “Cliff” Moeller, 68, of Marion passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 29, 2017 at 10:26 am.  Cliff was born August 22, 1949 in Belleville the son of Elroy and Lucille (Niemeier) Moeller.  He married Eunice A. Cornwell and together they have shared 34 years of marriage.  He was a long time member of Apostolic House of Worship in Marion.  He graduated high school in 1963 from Washington County Public School and received his Architectural Engineering degree from SIU.  Cliff worked for Maytag for 29 years and at Mattingly’s Nursing Home.  Cliff loved to be outdoors gardening, working in his yard, listening to music and eating spaghetti sandwiches.  Survivors include his; Wife – Eunice A. Moeller of Marion Daughter – Sonya Groves and husband Robbie of Herrin Son – Christopher L. Moeller of Marion Three grandchildren;   Steven George of Marion   Johnathon Rice and wife Annamay of Herrin   Quintin Rice and wife Stephanie of Christopher Great granddaughter – Lilyona Rice Mother – Lucille Moeller of Richview Brother – Richard Moeller and wife Peggy of Boonville, Indiana Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins  Preceded by his Father – Elroy Moeller in 1989 and 16 year old daughter Twila D. Moeller in 2002.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 1 pm at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Corwell and Rev. Robert Schierbaum officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
