Andrew McDonald, 64, of Marion, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 9:00AM, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. Andrew was born on October 3, 1951 in Austin, TX to James and Pearl (Davis) McDonald. He married Anetha Taylor in 1977 at Ft. Campbell Army Base. She preceded him in death in March of 2011. He was retired from the US Army, having served from 1978 until his retirement in 1986. Andrew was Baptist and was well known for his delicious barbeque. He played division III football in his younger days and was quite talented. Survivors include- Son- Jeffrey McDonald of Harrisburg Daughter- Analise McDonald of Marion Three sisters and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, wife and two brothers. Private family services will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements were made at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion.
